Sunday the 27th saw 80 people make the trip to the south of England to race on the reworked clanfied track for a round of the winter series. With some more jumps put in & other sections the jumps had been increased in size so it would a challenging day for all to learn the new track.

In the truggy class Jon Hazelwood was the class of the field & set TQ in 3 of the rounds, running the LPR bowties his truggy looked well balanced & easy to drive. For the final Jon led from start to finish, powered by an OS engine he was able to get 10 minutes before fuel was required which saves the extra fuel stop.

For buggys myself & Kevin Brunsden who has recently joined Team Xray both of us had good qualifying runs, neither of us getting a perfect run because of the nature of the track but put the two EC's a respectable 6th & 3rd on the grid, considering the calibre of drivers also racing this I felt was a good showing. For the A final neither myself or Kevin got the best of starts with the usual 3rd corner pushing but soon got back in contention & worked our way through the pack to finish only a couple of seconds apart in 2nd & 3rd after the 20 minutes was up. Today again was a good showing for Team XRAY in both truggy & buggy.

Buggy final results:
1st Elliot Boots
2nd Kevin Brunsden XRAY XB8 EC
3rd Brennan Ralls XRAY XB8 EC

4th Richard Bettany
5th Sam Taylor
6th Mark Johnston
7th Matt Perry
8th Karl Jackson
9th Mark Dell
10th Damien Tigwell

Truggy final results:
1st Jon Hazelwood XRAY XT8
2nd Russel Bailey
3rd Simon Freeman

Thanks again to all our sponsors for their support.
